The German brand GONSO is known as the cycling shorts expert, but how did they get this title?

Let's travel back in time to discover the history of GONSO. In 1926, Johannes Gonser founded a sewing business in Onstmettingen in the Swabian Alb, which he gradually expanded into a textile factory. When his ambitious grandson Hans Gonser took over the company, he quickly changed the company name to GONSO - a combination of the family name and the company headquarters at the time. In the 1960s, Hans Gonser ventured into new industries and experimented with sportswear. From the 1980s he focused on cycling clothing, and revolutionised the cycling world by introducing the first cycling shorts with synthetic seat padding.
